SmartRent Operations Manager Beta

Learn what's available in the SmartRent Operations Manager beta, what features are coming in a future update, how to leave the beta, and how to share feedback or get in touch with our team.

What to Know

Welcome to the SmartRent Operations Manager beta program! You've been selected to get early access to a full rebuild of the SmartOps mobile app before it's released to all SmartRent clients. Here's what that means for you.

Why We Rebuilt the App and Why Your Feedback Matters

Over time, the existing SmartOps app accumulated sync issues, bugs, and limitations that were difficult to fully resolve without starting fresh. We made the decision to rebuild the app from the ground up using modern technology, giving us a faster, more stable foundation and the ability to deliver new features more reliably going forward.

Before we roll this out to everyone, we want to make sure it works the way it should under real conditions, with real users and real data. That's what the beta is for. Your day-to-day use of the app and the feedback you share with us directly influences what we fix, what we improve, and when we're ready to launch to all SmartRent clients.

What's Available Right Now

The following features are fully in scope for this phase of the beta:

  • Task creation, editing, and viewing

  • Task sync across devices

  • Projects (standard mode)

  • User and resident workflows

  • Navigation, search, filters, and task list views

  • SSO login

What's Not Available Yet

The following features are not included in the current phase but will be available in a future update:

  • Asset management (viewing, editing, and photo uploads)

  • Package management and scanning

  • Rapid mode in projects

  • Pin drop / location mapping

If your workflows depend on any of the above, you can continue using the existing SmartOps app in the meantime (see below).

The Existing App is Still Available

You don't need to choose one or the other right now. The current SmartOps app remains fully available and functional throughout the beta. You can switch back to it at any time without any impact to your data.

If you'd like to leave the beta at any time, simply remove the SmartRent Operations Manager app from your device and return to the existing SmartOps app. It will still be there and fully functional.

Have Feedback or Found a Bug?

We want to hear everything: bugs, friction points, feature requests, things that work well, and things that don't.

When reporting a bug, it helps to include what you were trying to do, what happened instead, your device type and OS version if you know it, and a screenshot if you have one.

iOS (TestFlight): Sharing Feedback with a Screenshot

TestFlight makes it easy to send us feedback with a screenshot directly from the app. Here's how:

  1. Take a screenshot on your device while in the app.

  2. Tap the checkmark that appears on the screenshot preview.

  3. Select "Share Beta Feedback..."

  4. A new screen will open showing your screenshot and a place to leave written feedback.

  5. Submit when ready. It comes directly to us.

You can also open the TestFlight app directly and tap Send Feedback from the SmartRent Operations Manager listing. Open TestFlight

Android: Sharing Feedback

On Android, you can leave feedback directly from the app's Google Play listing. Open the SmartRent Operations Manager page by searching for SmartRent in the Play Store and selecting SmartRent Operations Manager from the available apps, or tap here to go directly: Open in Google Play. Once on the app page, select the Write Feedback option to send feedback directly to the development team.
