Teams - Smart Assign
Summary
Currently, our Teams feature offers three assignment rules:
Round Robin - Tasks will be distributed automatically to team members in a predetermined order.
Team Assignment - Tasks will be assigned to the team, and team members will receive notifications to claim each task.
AI Assignment- Tasks will be assigned intelligently based on previous work completed by each team member.
How Does AI Assignment Work?
Users will continue to assign tasks to teams exactly as they do today! No change or extra step needs to be completed to use the Smart Assign assignment rule. This new rule will be available when editing or creating a team, along with the already available assignment rules.
After a team is set to the Smart Assign rule, team members will begin to be assigned properly based on their work history. A user would simply go into the task or project they are attempting to assign to a team, select the assignee drop-down, and select the desired team. After that, their work is done.
If, for whatever reason, a user decides they want to reassign a task or project to a different team, team member, or user, they can simply select the assignee drop-down and pick another assignee.
The goal of our Teams feature is to make the assignment of work as easy as possible for groups of team members. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out to us! We’re always looking for ways to improve the features we provide to you.
